Baby Pictures
We are still in need of a few 5th grade baby pictures for the front bulletin board. If you have not sent your child's baby picture, please do so soon. The kids love to guess who is in each picture. These pictures should be 4 x 6. You will be able to collect your child's picture at graduation on June 16th.
Sarah Banks Trip
The 5th graders are headed to Sarah Banks Middle School this Friday, May 19th. We will leave WLE around 10:30 a.m. and visit and tour Sarah Banks. We will leave for WLE around 1:15 p.m. The children will eat lunch there. We recommend that your child have money on his or her lunch account so that they can experience buying lunch at the middle school. There is something for everyone!
Field Day
FIELD DAY INFO from Mr. Cox: Friday, June 2
Field Day is just around the corner! This year, everyone will participate in events that will showcase many of the skills we have been working on in Physical Education class throughout the year.
Field Day will take place on Friday June 2nd 9:30-2:45. Students will be traveling from station to station with partners (old school). It is imperative that students are dressed in appropriate clothing, athletic shoes and have sunscreen and water bottles.

As always the PTA is providing a hot dog lunch and awesome Field Day T-shirts.
I am looking for as many parent volunteers as possible to run stations and help out with food. These stations will have very simple directions and should be a lot of fun to run (no scoring and very few rules).
If you can volunteer please go to Sign Up Genius and choose the job you would like to volunteer for (see skyward message center for link). If you plan on leading a group in the AM please plan on arriving to the gym around 9:15 for some brief training.
We are excited for a fantastic Field Day!
From, Mr. Cox
DIA Field Trip
The 5th graders are headed to the DIA on Friday, June 9th. This year, the field trip is FREE! Walled Lake Elementary received a grant for bussing and admission is free for Oakland County residents. Please return your child's DIA permission slip to school These were sent home with your child last Monday. We will need many chaperones for this trip as well. Please note that all chaperones must fill out the Criminal History/Reference Form. This form must be turned in to WLE by May 24th. We are looking forward to a great trip.
