5th Grade Camp

One cold April morning it was the day I went to camp. I was so excited when we got there I never wanted it to end. When we got there we first went to are dorms to unpack. We finished unpacking and then had lunch. After lunch we started our classes my first class was a short hike. We had 3 classes and then ate dinner. After dinner we had 3 activities they were rope tricks, lanyards, and social studies review where we could win prizes. Lastly we went to bed the first day was so much fun!!!!
The next day was even better than the first because we got to wake up there and have breakfast. After breakfast we started our classes. My first class was another hike but it was a long one. We had 3 classes and ate lunch. After we had lunch we had 2 more classes then a snack and then we had dinner. After dinner we had only 2 activities and they were looking throw owl puck and social studies review again. After the activities we went to bed. I could not believe we were leaving camp tomorrow.
Today was the day we were leaving but we had one more class before we left. I had a long long long long walk. When we were done it was time to get on the bus and leave. I wish camp was not over but it was I wish we had more than one camp.

The first time that I went away from home for two whole nights was at fifth grade camp. For me camp was a pretty good experience.
I got to go to the Huron lake and we saw a lot of fish their. I saw a rainbow fish. Some people were taking a stick and they were trying to poke the fishes and a lot of people told them to stop, but they didn't stop until the teacher told them to.
The food their was really good. Every single time we got food, it was always different. My favorite was the pizza burgers and the lemonade. It was really good. Everyday, we got breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack.
Towards the end of each day, we got to do some special activities. On the first night, we got to get strings from Mr.Reed and we learned some tricks on it such as the mosquito, jacob's ladder, the winking eye and a few more. It was amazing and I learned some pretty cool things with the string that I didn't know.
At camp there was a class that we went to that we got to take some samples of water from three different places and we got to see what was in it. When we got to the first stop, we were in a river/stream. Everyone went in it. Their was a dam and me and Bella tried to climb it. Bella made it to the top, but I didn't. I fell in it and all of my boots and pants got dirty and wet. When we came back from the 3 stops we looked in a microscope and we tried to see what was in the water. In my water there was a fish/bug and no one, not even the teacher knew what it was. I was pretty cool. That was my favorite class.
Camp was really fun and I would want to go again if I could. Overall, that was 100% the best trip that I have ever taken and I hope I can experience something like that again.
5th Grade Camp

Let me tell you about 5th grade camp. 5th grade camp was really fun. You get to go on hikes down to the pond, the rivers, and the streams. We got to go to the pond to get a sample of the water in it. When you looked down under a microscope you could see line little things living in it. We were also able to go to the pond and see what stage it is. It was in stage 2.
In geology we were able to smash rocks and then we could study them. We were able to look inside and see what rock it is.It was SUPER FUN! In the animal class we went on a hike and we moved logs and rocks to find animals under them. We found animals such as lizards, spiders, and insects. We were also able to do a hike and look for plants. You can touch, smell, and even taste some of them. We saw big plants, and very small plants. Those are some of the things you will do at camp.
Fifth Grade Camp

Let me tell you about fifth grade camp. Fifth grade camp was a fantastic experience. One of my favorite activities was the rock breaking. You would break the rock and see what was inside the rock. One of my other favorites is the string tricks Mr. Reed taught us. He taught us some tricks like Eiffel Tower and Mosquito. Another activity was where you would go to a stream and collect water and look at it under the microscope. We found little bugs that live in the water. Overall fifth grade camp was a great experience.
5th grade camp by zack
I love 5th grade camp. It was soooooo fun! It was the best thing ever.I wish we got to go again. We got to do all these fun things but my favorite thing was when we got to go outside and smash rocks. We were trying to find things like quartz and limestone. That class was called Geology.
I liked some of the food at camp. I loved the corn, it is was good.
We also had snack time which was awesome and watched a movie at night.
Also one thing that was fun was the night because you could talk to your friends until lights out. We were all are up having fun jokes on the first night. After the first night the next night was fast because everybody was asleep super fast. We were tired!
Camp was super fun I wish we could go back. I had a thrilling time at camp.
5th Grade Camp

5th Grade Camp was a fun experience. We went on many hikes on a cool trail. On two of the hikes we got to go down to the Huron River. On the other hike we saw cool trees and we also lifted up logs to try to find living creature like Lizards, Snakes and centipedes. In one class we walked down to a pond and a stream and we collected water. We walked back to the classroom with the collected water and took samples of the water. We placed the samples under a microscope and we looked through the microscope. In my group not many people found something but me and my partners found a lot of stuff including microscopic creatures. Overall camp was fun and I learned a lot while I was there.
5th Grade Camp

One chilly morning Walled Lake elementary's fifth graders were going to camp.When we first got to camp we had to unload the bus with our luggage and put it in our dorms.The first class we had was called air quality. You got to test and see what items would protect you from getting skin cancer. The next day, we had a class called Geology. That is where you break rocks and see what is in the rocks. The next day we had a class with Mrs.Faley called Forest Communities where you look at different stages of a forest. My favorite thing was the hikes because you got to see cool types of animals.I wish we could go again.
5th Grade Camp

5th grade camp was the best thing we did in 5th grade. There was barely a time when we weren't doing something fun. The first thing we did was unpack in the dorms, and then we had lunch, I was the hopper. The hopper’s job was to get the food for everyone, and clean up afterward. Then we went to some pretty cool classes. My group went to Air Quality first. Then we had dinner, and went to special classes, like learning how to do string figure tricks. Then we watched a movie, showered, and went to bed.
The next day we got dressed and went to breakfast. Then for one of the classes we went on a hike with Mrs.Rhode to look at water pollution. Also we went to a geology class and broke open rocks. After class we had lunch. Then did the other classes and had a super l-o-n-g reses while we printed shirts. After that we had dinner, went to the special classes including a very gross owl pellet search. Then we had a snack, finished our movie, showered and went to bed.
The last day was different, but still fun. We got up, and went to breakfast. That day we only had one class, my group went on a hike with Mrs. Faley. When we got back we grabbed our luggage, got on the buses and went home.
5th Grade Camp

5th Grade Camp was the best place I have been to so far! Although I never had a good night sleep because all the boys were so loud, it was still fun there. Best parts were when we went hiking every day for a long period of time! The food was great too. My 2 favorite foods were probably the Pizza Burgers and the Chocolate Cake! Before we went to bed we took a shower and brushed our teeth. I was always last to the showers so the warm water turned into cold water so I just had to deal with it. Before the lights go out and we go to sleep, Mr.Clark has to read us a book which we don't really need.
Every morning we get a good breakfast to start out the day and then we go to the fireplace room to talk to each other for a little bit. Then we start planning out our classes. In our classes we learned about cool looking minerals and other cool rocks. We went on a small hike and we smashed rocks with hammers and we put on these goggles just to be safe because dust could have gotten in our eye’s while trying to crack open a rock. The rocks might have minerals in it.
It was really muddy out so we got really dirty out there and when we got back inside we had to change out our clothes and get rid of our dirty ones. Then we went on another hike and we were looking at a river and we ran into plenty of bridges while we were out. We ran into another bridge and there were living fish and dead fish everywhere! I took a picture of one of the dead fish because I thought it was a little funny and then we went back to camp. After a while we were about to sleep but as soon as Mr.Clark got into his room all the boys got loud! This means farting, yelling, and throwing tissues at each other! Thats some reasons why I can not sleep every night. We also go outside to the park and play for about an hour and we have a lot of fun out there! I only play with Jacob and Ryan and sometimes other people. When I got back home my mom was so happy to see me! She took me to McDonalds to eat a hamburger, fries, and a drink. I went back home, my mom unpacked all my camping stuff, and I obviously played video games for the rest of the day.
5th Grade Camp

Let me tell you about the 5th grade Camp. It is going to be super fun because you get to on hikes and the hikes are super long like some of them are about 10 to 12 miles and maybe longer than that they are fun. You are also going to get to go the Heron River and it is fun.
You are also going to look for rocks that are rare on Michigan or maybe they are not rare but you still get to look for rocks. If they are big then you could smash it with a hammer and make it smaller size. After you are done with it you could take it home with you.
You are also going to learn some string tricks taught by Mr.Reed and he is going to teach you the cup and the saucer, the eiffel tower, the jumping angel, the mosquito and the winking eye.On the other class you you are going to learn about the Water Cycle. At the last class you are going to Learn about the Layers of earth and the ozone layer.
I think that you are going to have a lot of fun at the 5th Grade camp, I had fun at camp and hope you are going to enjoy it.
5TH GRADE CAMP

5th grade camp was awesome because right at the first day when I was playing football I got hit right in my face and I Got a bruise. Also what was fun is recess because we had recess For 2 hours and 30 minutes in the 2nd day. We had the best food ever. What I liked is nachos they had the best hot meat and also there was the best water ever.
I liked Pond because it was funny because there was a kid that got stuck in the river and the only thing you could see is his head. The river was only as deep as up to my
feet.I also liked Geology because we got break rocks and
keep the rocks.
I also liked what Mr. Reed taught us about string and
he taught us how to make cups,bow and arrows,and other things out of the string. Camp was amazing and I
want to go there again.
Fifth Grade Camp

Fifth grade camp was the best. With Mr. Reed we learned how to protect yourself when the sun is out. Mrs.Reed also told us a story about when his dad got cancer for not protecting himself with sun screen or anything. We also went on the biggest longest hike with him to look at things that live in nature.
With Mrs. Rhode we learned about the water cycle, and how the water gets polluted. We went on a hike to see how one thing in the water can turn into a big thing by going into the open space where there is living creatures that live there.
With Mrs.Athan we went on a hike and talked about the different tree cycles that trees take. We also collected water samples to see what kind of things live in the water that you can’t see. We learned that you should never drink pond water because you don’t know what is in the water that you can't see.
When we were done with all of our class we did fun classes like we learned how to do a box stitch and did a lanyard with Mrs.Rhode. With Mrs.Reed we learned how to do cool tricks with a string. At last we went over the social studies m-step. I really enjoyed the snack breaks and the movie and dorms.
It was the best experience I had so far in fifth grade I wish we could do this again.

Fifth grade camp
Let me tell you about fifth grade camp. Fifth grade camp was the best I had some awesome classes and meals. My favorite class was the water cycle and pond water because we got to go in the water if you had rain boots and collect water and in pond we got to stay up on small bridges and collect water there also. Some of our meals were awesome. We had cinnamon rolls on our last day of camp. We had tacos and pizza burgers that were all very good. Also we had on the last day of camp the class I got to do was air quality and then like 15 minutes to the end of the class orange group had to load the bus with luggage and the blue group helped. Then after we loaded the luggage bus we got to go on the other bus and go back to the school. When we got back to the school parents and teachers lined up at the school and they were all looking and clapping at us and it was so funny.
5th grade camp By Liam
Day 1
5th grade camp was super fun! I felt like I was going to explode with excitement! After we came into the cafeteria mr.Riley told us all the rules of camp. After that we got our stuff off the bus and moved down into the dorms. We got organized in the dorms then we went up and had a lunch of delicious pizza burgers. After my group (orange group) had forest community where we looked at different types of trees and animals living in the forest .Nest we went to our next class was Geology where we got hammers and bust open rocks. Then we had recess and taco dinner. After we did activities with the teachers. Then we had a snack and watched a movie and they sent off groups to go to showers. After I took a shower i went and wrote in my journal after it was lights out as I drifted off to sleep thinking about all the fun I had at camp and all the fun I was yet to have.
Camp was super fun! I wish it was longer if it was I would definitely go back.
